What Does Mammogram This test Result Mean?

I had a mammogram done last Wednesday. Every thing else is normal but then it says evidence of right axillary lymph nodes (reactive).
Impression: BiRADS 1.
What does it mean?

My 2012 mammogram also showed a normal report but said prominent lymph nodes noted.

Hello.
The axillary nodes drain the breast, upper extremity and chest wall, so I would look at these areas for a possible cause of the reactive nodes.
Most likely they are due to a non-specific inflammation/infection/trauma to these areas.
Your mammogram is otherwise normal, so do not worry.
A clinical and mammography followup (xray/ultrasound) is usually adequate.
Aggressive management is suggested if there is a history of malignancy and change in size and number of nodes.

BIRADS is a reporting format for mammograms and 1 denotes that the scan was negative for cancer.

Hope this is helpful.
Take care.
